Within the framework of the project Young Rugby Reporters organized by the AEFE (Agency for French Education Abroad), the FIS rugby team flew yesterday evening to Sydney then Wellington in New Zealand. This project aims to gather students from five schools representing five continents of the AEFE network, who will compete in a friendly seven-a-side rugby tournament. The teams will also take this opportunity to visit New Zealand during the Rugby World Cup.
The team representing the FIS is a mix of students from both the French Section and the International Section. The players wearing the colours of the school are Lorraine Chu, Emily Spencer, Charlotte Louis, Tissa Polycarpe, Laetitia Arzel, Noémie Levy, Charlotte Thompson, Lou Jacques, Margerie De Lambilly and Viviane Vix (captain). They are accompanied by two coach-teachers Mr Guillo and Mr MacIntosh and will regularly keep us posted on their trip via the school website.
This project ties in with the FIS' values and spirit of openness which we constantly promote.
